We welcome musicians, dancers, spoken word artists, storytellers, cultural ensembles, and other performers whose work reflects creativity, excellence, and meaningful engagement with audiences.

The festival offers performers a platform to connect with the public, represent culture with pride, and contribute to a powerful shared experience rooted in music, movement, and storytelling.

Music

Afrobeats, Soca, Reggae, Calypso, Highlife, Dancehall, and Afro-fusion genres.

Dance

Traditional African dance, Caribbean cultural dance, contemporary Afro-fusion ensembles.

Spoken Word

Storytelling, griot traditions, and spoken word honouring cultural roots.

Percussion

Afro-Caribbean drumming ensembles, steel pan, and rhythmic cultural performances.

Youth Acts

Dedicated youth stage for emerging talent — the next generation shines.

Cultural Showcases

Masquerade, pageantry, and heritage performances celebrating Afro-Caribbean identity.

Selection Approach

Applications are reviewed based on artistic fit, overall program balance, festival needs, and available performance slots.

  • All performers must attend mandatory sound check on the day of performance
  • Performances range from 20–45 minutes depending on slot and stage
  • Technical riders submitted at least 6 weeks before the festival
  • Afro-CariBrant provides professional sound, lighting, and stage management
